What it costs
Every project is quoted as one fixed price, agreed before I start building. The quote comes after the first two steps, because guessing at a number before I understand the job helps neither of us.
No hourly rate ticking away in the background, and no invoice that turns up larger than you were expecting. If the price is not right for you, say so and we will leave it there. Asking costs nothing.
Nothing you rely on is rented from me. What I build for you carries on working with or without me around.
What is yours stays yours: the tool, your data, the way it fits how you work. What stays with me is the method. You get the benefit of every job that came before yours.

The Pseudonymiser
Runs offline · nothing uploadsSometimes building a tool means working from a copy of your data. I'd rather not hold the real thing, and you'd rather not send it. So here's a free tool that swaps every name for a fake one, nudges the numbers just enough, shifts the dates and scrambles the IDs. The data still behaves like the real thing. It just isn't about real people any more.
It runs entirely in your browser. Turn your Wi-Fi off halfway through and it carries on working. There's example data built in, so you can watch every step before your own file goes anywhere near it.

The person

Eleven years on an engine plant floor, every shift pattern going, teams that each worked their own way. I spent that time noticing where the hours went: the job that takes a morning because two systems don't talk, the plan that only exists in someone's head.
The first thing I built was a fix for something I'd noticed myself, and once I'd built one, I knew I could build the rest: a cover and training planner, an absence tracker for a school office, the Pseudonymiser anyone can try free in their browser. Self-taught, and better with every build.
JSC Workshop is one person: me. You talk to the person who builds the thing, so nothing gets lost in a handover. The work runs from one person with a van to a hundred on a shop floor.
I build tools that help people do their jobs, not tools that do people out of them. Though when you run the place alone, the right tool is the extra pair of hands there was never money for.
